The next Macworld Conference & Expo is still months away — it doesn’t happen again until the show returns to San Francisco, Calif. in January, 2007. But that doesn’t mean that planning for the event isn’t already underway. One person whose main job it is to think about the show is Paul Kent, IDG’s Brand VP in charge of Macworld Conference & Expo. And he’s posting his thoughts online in a new blog called Macworld C&E Buzz.
Kent is a 22-year industry veteran who has worked on Macworld Conference & Expo as the show’s conference chair since 1997. Previously he was president of Mactivity, where he produced conferences including Mactivity, Mactivity/Web and Mactivity/CEO.
So far, Kent’s blog postings have discussed Macworld Expo’s growth in 2006, as well as the results of an online survey of 2006 attendees to discuss what they want out of more Macworld Expo events. The results are illuminating, and Kent is heartily encouraging reader feedback — so post away!
IDG World Expo and Mac Publishing are both owned by International Data Group (IDG).
