Aquafadas has updated their “digital video shoebox” iDive to version 1.7. The new release is available for download from Aquafadas’ Web site now; it’s a free update for 1.5 and 1.6 users. iDive costs $69.95.
iDive offers the ability to store video clips and still images. It features customizable views, drag and drop attribute tagging and a timeline-based display. It also ships with a feature called Mosaic, which lets you create and share motion graphics. iDive is designed to work in conjunction with other DV editing applications.
New to this release is the ability to print out contact sheets with your clips; support for printing tape, CD and DVD covers from catalog data; the ability to reconnect media files if they’re moved, and other small improvements. What’s more, two new compositions have been included for Mosaic: Slideshow #1 and Museum.
