Productivity software maker SmileOnMyMac announced on Monday the acquisition of Textpander, a customizable typing tool. Textpander allows users to define abbreviations for frequently used text strings and images. An update, which will be released shortly as part of SmileOnMyMac, will include new features and product name — specifics have not yet been finalized, according to the company. Textpander joins SmileOnMyMac’s other products that include DiscLabel, PDFPen, PageSender, PhotoPrinto and BrowseBack.
