The third annual MacGathering and SoHo Tech Show takes place later this week in North Hollywood, Calif. Podcasting and audio production topics will take a prominent place at this year’s show as podcasters offer tutorials for businesspeople and hobbyists interested in learning how to take advantage of this new technology trend.
Podcast Production 101 is taught by Shelly Brisbin. She’ll be showing attendees the ropes on how to create a podcast, from moving an audio program from your computer to the Internet; promoting it; and finding the resources you’ll need to be successful.
A Podcasting Birds of a Feather session will follow, where six successful podcaster swill share their insights, including Dan Klass, co-author of the book Podcast Solutions; Adam Christianson of MacCast; Lance Anderson, host of Verge of the Fringe; and others.
The Getting Your Voice Into Your Mac class will be taught by Dan Klass, who will provide info on how to choose recording equipment, connect mics and mixers and how to achieve the best possible sound.
The MacGathering and SoHo Tech Show takes place on May 19 – 20, 2006 at the Beverly Garlands Holiday Inn in North Hollywood, Calif. Registration starts at $10 for an exhibits pass and $70 for a one-day seminar pass; two-day passes and academic discounts are available.
