Phelios has announced the release of a Universal Binary version of Kaijin, their arcade-style shoot ‘em up (shmup) game for the Mac.
Kaijin is a futuristic top-down scrolling shooter that puts you on the planet Terria in the 26th Century. Insects and ocean dwellers have obtained sentience and plan to overthrow humanity unless you can stop them.
Kaijin takes a page from Galaxian and other classic top-down shooters from the 1980s, updated with great graphics and sound, 126 levels of play, three different game modes, 3D rendered graphics, original soundtrack and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X, 256MB RAM, OpenGL-compatible graphics with at least 32MB VRAM. Kaijin costs $19.95; a free playable demo is also available for download.
