Royal Consumer Information Products has introduced its Royal PF 56 and PF 80 Digital Picture Albums — LCD displays inside decorative desktop frames that display your digital photos using a media card. The albums carry suggested retail prices of $199 and $249 respectively.
Both frames let you view either a single picture or a complete slide show containing as many as 500 – 600 photos, depending on the capacity of your camera’s media card. And both can display up to 8-megapixel photos. Both displays can be sat on a desktop on positioned on a wall.
The Digital Picture Albums work with Compact Flash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, MultiMedia Card, Secure Digital and XD Card-style flash media formats. They work with JPEG, MPEG and AVI file formats, and support features including Preview, Previous/Next, Pause/Play/Stop, Rotate, Zoom, Speed, Escape and Slide Show Mode. They’re powered by an AC adapter and include wireless remote controls.
The PF 56 is a 5.6-inch display that comes with a black frame. Other color options are available on the Royal Web site. The PF 80 is an 8-inch frame; it comes with three interchangeable frames in silver, wood-grain brown and black.
