Charlie’s Games and Macgamestore.com have announced the release of Bullet Candy for Mac OS X, a new arcade shooter game that evokes past classics such as Robotron. It costs $19.95, though a downloadable demo is available.
Rendered from a top-down perspective, you are surrounded by hostile enemies as you use separate controls to move and fire in 360 degrees of motion. You can pick up goodies for extra points. Bullet Candy includes score multipliers, collectable friendlies, laser upgrades and unlockable bonus games too.
The game is playable with a mouse and keyboard, and can also work with a dual analog gamepad, if your system is so equipped. System requirements call for a G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM and graphics system with at least 32MB VRAM.
