Major League Gaming and Ziff Davis announced Thursday that the MLG 2006 Circuit Tour Playoffs will happen during this October’s DigitalLife show, which happens at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. The MLG is a professional video game league.
The MLG, which this year focuses competitive gaming in Halo 2 and Super Smash Brothers, has sponsored a “pro tour” in seven cities around the country this year — regional events are scheduled to take place in Dallas, Anaheim, Chicago and Orlando throughout May, June, July and August. Events feature cash prizes totaling thousands of dollars for the winners and runners up.
After the playoffs in New York on October 13 – 15, the championship will take place in Las Vegas from November 17 – 19, 2006.
DigitalLife is Ziff Davis’ annual “digital lifestyle and entertainment event” featuring consumer electronics, video games, and digital products and services. It happens from October 12 – 15, 2006.
