Mindjet on Wednesday announced the release of MindManager 6 Mac. The software costs $229 and is available at Apple retail stores. It’s a Universal Binary that runs natively on both Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
Mind mapping is a brainstorming technique that lets you organize thoughts, ideas and associations visually, instead of linearly, as in an outline. MindManager 6 Mac utilizes this technology to help individuals and groups during brainstorming sessions.
In MindManager 6 Mac, ideas voiced during these brainstorming sessions can be displayed visually on the page, and can be developed by attaching or linking various information types ranging from Web sites, e-mail addresses, documents, audio, video and image files. MindManager 6 Mac goes a step further by incorporating a system for creating assignments and attaching due dates to those ideas. Documents created using the software are also compatible with its Windows counterpart.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4 or later, G3/733MHz or faster (including Intel), 256MB RAM, 70MB hard disk space.
