iPlayMusic has launched Beginner Guitar Lessons for the Mac, a guitar learning program made for the Mac and video iPod. It costs $49.95.
More than four hours of video are presented in 140 individual lessons as iPlayMusic teaches you the basics of how to play the guitar. You’ll learn how to play chords, get tips on riffs, transitions, strumming and more. It also teaches how to play more than two dozen popular songs from artists like The Beatles and Bob Marley. Lessons can be exported to the video iPod as well.
Beginner Guitar Lessons includes a full GarageBand project file with instrumental and vocal tracks. Users will learn how to remix the featured songs, change or add vocals and instruments and record their own performances. Instructions are also provided in how to podcast using iWeb and managing recorded songs in iTunes.
iPlayMusic claims the new Mac software is appropriate for age 5 and up. Available as a Universal Binary for Intel-based Macs, system requirements call for a G4/733MHz or faster, 512MB RAM, GarageBand 3 or later, Mac OS X v10.3.9 or higher, iTunes 6.0.2 and QuickTime 7.0.4, DVD drive and 10GB of available disk space.
