PQI on Wednesday introduced its Card Drive U510, a flash media-based storage device that is credit-card sized, measuring 2.13 x 3.35 x 0.12 inches. It can hold 16GB of data and will ship in July at a retail price to be announced.
The drive is USB 2.0-based and sports an “Intelligent Stick” retractable connector for attaching to a Mac or PC. The drive will be available in three chassis decorations — silver, gray, and a limited-edition soccer ball print. It’s made of an aluminum alloy casing, and features an LED indicator that shows when the device is busy, waiting and off.
The Card Drive U510 joins other models ranging in capacity from 1GB to 4GB, at prices from $49.99 to $139.99.
The U510 is compatible with Mac OS X v10.1 or later.
