Disney/Pixar’s latest animated movie “Cars” is in theaters, and last week, game publisher THQ began shipping a game based on the movie. Available for Macs and PCs in hybrid format, you can already find the game on store shelves. Now a playable demo is available for download as well.
This demo stays you through some of the adventures that Lightning McQueen — the red racing car voiced by Owen Wilson and the hero of the movie — and his friends have in the town of Radiator Springs, which serves as the backdrop for part of the movie.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later, G4/1.2GHz or later, 256MB RAM, 500MB hard disk space, Nvidia GeForce 2MX or ATI Radeon 7500 or better 3D graphics with at least 32MB VRAM.
Macgamefiles.com notes that the Cars game demo did not run on an Intel-based Mac when it was tested.
