Humble Daisy has released ProfCast 1.5, a Mac OS X podcasting tool designed for lecturers. A free update for registered users, ProfCast costs $35 to register.
ProfCast includes features to make it easier to create podcasts from lectures, special events and presentations. It can synchronize the display of slides with your audio, generate Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, supports FTP, SFTP and .Mac, integrates with GarageBand 3 and iWeb, supports audio playthrough and more.
The new version sports interface enhancements and usability improvements, according to the developer. What’s more, a semi-transparent control panel icon has been added to manage ProfCast during presentations; a sample text in fields helps set up server preferences and a microphone icon now indicates your audio signal. ProfCast 1.5 also has a number of bug fixes.
