Bare Bones Software on Tuesday released TextWrangler 2.1.3, an update to their free text editor for Mac OS X. The new version is available for download immediately.
TextWrangler is a free text editor for the Mac that includes multi-file search and replace capability with regular expression (grep) pattern matching, function navigation and syntax coloring. It supports SFTP and FTP file transfers, AppleScript and Unix scripting.
A maintenance update, this version fixes reported issues and makes some minor refinements. A complete list of what’s changed is available online.
TextWrangler is also an inexpensive way to upgrade to Bare Bones’ more feature-rich text and HTML editor BBEdit — upgrading from TextWrangler costs $99, compared to $199.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.5 or later.
