Notebook case maker Targus on Tuesday introduced three new security locks for Apple’s iPod. The new locks work with iPods equipped with a dock connector — that includes third, fourth and fifth-generation iPods, iPod minis and iPod nanos. Prices range from $19.99 to $39.99.
Targus’ new locks use a keyless, user-settable three-digit combination lock to keep the iPod in place. All locks come with a one-year warranty.
The Eyelet Security Lock for iPod is a $19.99 lock designed to work with pre-installed Targus cable locks and third party locking systems. The eyelet cable is flexible and can be removed and used in other locations.
The Mobile Security Lock is designed to be used on the go. The lock connects to a cable that is housed in a case which you can store in your bag or backpack. It costs $39.99.
The $29.99 Desktop Security Lock keeps the iPod safe in corporate displays, dorms and offices — a 6.5-foot galvanized steel cable can be anchored to any stationary object.
