CS Odessa on Tuesday announced the release of ConceptDraw VI, their diagramming software for Mac OS X and Windows. ConceptDraw comes in Standard and Professional versions for $149 and $299 respectively; upgrades from 5.5 cost $49.
ConceptDraw was developed for IT professionals, managers, sysadmins, Web designers, software developers, scientists and others who need to create diagrams and flowcharts. It can be used to diagram computer networks, data flow, workflows, create org charts or site maps, building plans and more.
The new version of ConceptDraw features texture filling, export to Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format. Also new in this release is support for import and export of Extensible Markup Language (XML) content for Microsoft’s popular diagramming software Visio.
ConceptDraw VI includes a new extended set of shape libraries that improve the software’s usefulness for marketing, presentations, access and security; and improvements to usability such as a spell checker and object search in libraries. Another new feature is alpha channel transparency.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later; G3 or better; 128MB RAM; 200MB hard disk space; 800 x 600 resolution.
ConceptDraw VI is localized in English, German, French, Spanish and Russian. A free trial version is available for download.
