Apple has released an update to Aperture, its professional photography tool, as well as its pro video applications including those bundled as Final Cut Studio. The updates are available for download through the Software Update system preference; some can also be downloaded from from Apple’s Web site.
Aperture 1.1.2 is the new update. The updated release “addresses issues related to overall reliability and performance,” according to Apple. Apple recommends that all Aperture users install the update.
Final Cut Studio 5.1.1 is available; it optimizes application compatibility for specific hardware and fixes “critical bugs. Cinema Tools 3.1.1 fixes a potential issue with reverse telecine when using some DVCPro formats. Both are available for download from the Final Cut Studio download page.
Apple has also released Pro Applications Update 2006-01, which updates the underlying frameworks and shared components of Apple’s professional applications. It’s recommended for users of:
