Dracosoft has updated Burst, its match-three casual puzzle action game, for Intel-based Macs. The new release is available for download from Dracosoft’s Web site and costs $9.99 to register.
In Burst, you line up balloons to make them pop. Swapping three or more adjacent balloons will clear them from the play field, where they’re replaced with others. It’s a variation on the same style of game that makes titles like Bejeweled enormously popular.
Special powerups like Lightning are available; you can use Lightning to destroy all the balloons in a single column. The Burst Balloon transforms the surrounding balloons; Tornados will mix things up; Bonus Balloons can be added to multiply points; and the Flying Saucer will cut through a swath of balloons as it makes its way across the screen.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later.
