MaxUpgrades has introduced a new version of its MaxConnect internal hard disk mount for Power Mac G5 systems. MaxConnect allows G5 users to mount up to three additional hard disk drives inside their system. MaxUpgrades make MaxConnect systems to work with both PCI-X and PCI Express -equipped G5s.
New to this version is an auxiliary cooling fan. MaxConnect is made from aluminum, and is machined from a single piece. Guide pins allow for easy remove and insertion of disk drives.
MaxConnect ships with optional power cables, SATA data cable and Serial ATA controller cards. Mounting assemblies start at $75.
