ActionSoft on Friday released Midnight Mansion 1.0.5, a new version of its platform action game that’s reminiscent of the old Apple II classic “Montezuma’s Revenge.” The new version is a free update for registered users — Midnight Mansion costs $20 to register.
In Midnight Mansion you control Jack Malone, intrepid explorer, as he looks inside a huge mansion filled with frightful monsters and creepy crawlies, collecting treasure, solving traps and puzzles, uncovering secrets and more.
The new release of Midnight Mansion runs better on Intel Macs in full-screen mode, according to the developer. Sprites in the game now use self-masking tiles, which makes it better for people who are designing their own mansions to create new custom tiel graphics.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later.
