Replacing an earlier public beta release, the futuristic strategic wargame DropTeam is now available as a multiplayer demo.
DropTeam puts players in charge of armored columns as they fight for control of the surface of various colonized planets on the fringes of explored space. The game has a futuristic theme but employs realistic and believable physics and ballistics modeling. What’s more, DropTeam was released by its publisher, Battlefront.com, simultaneously for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.
The multiplayer demo doesn’t have any single-player game included, but it will give players a taste of network games. The full game features single-player skirmish games and a single-player campaign. The demo is limited to one of the game’s total 21 scenarios.
Mac OS X system requirements for the game call for Mac OS X v10.4.5 or later and a G4/1.2GHz or faster system. The game is a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
