REAL Software on Thursday announced the release of REALbasic 2006 Release 3, another significant update to their software development and rapid application development platform. The update coincides with Release 3 updates for Windows and Linux, and is free for REALbasic 2006 users. REALbasic 2006 starts at $99.
New to this release of REALbasic is version control format support. You can now save and export projects in text format to use with version control systems like CVS and Subversion. You can also check for errors without having to build an application. Project navigation has been improved.
REAL Software said that Universal binary support for Intel and PowerPC-based Macs is currently being worked on and is expected in a forthcoming release.
