Freeverse Software has posted a playable demo version of its recently released historical war game, Legion Arena. The full game costs $39.95.
Legion Arena is a “role playing strategy” game that returns you to the days of the Roman Empire as you control Roman or Gallic troops. You take a small band of warriors and train them, buying equipment, building skill levels, customizing their appearance, earning experience and money as you fight your battles.
Legion Arena features more than 100 scenarios, with more than 20 unique units including Praetorians, Elephants and Naked Fanatics. “That’s right, Naked Fanatics,” said Freeverse, “from France!”
A Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs, Legion Arena’s system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, a G4/1GHz or faster, 256MB RAM, 1GB hard disk space, 32MB VRAM.
