Chronos LC on Monday announced the release of
SOHO Notes 5.5, an update to their note manager for Mac OS X. The company also announced that effective today, SOHO Notes is the official successor to the company’s StickyBrain product, which is being immediately discontinued. SOHO Notes costs $39.99.
SOHO Notes touts new features in the 5.5 release including DockNote, which slides out from the side of the screen and get information from SOHO Notes even if the application isn’t running. SOHO Notes also features a Journal folder for users who write and record regular diary entries; a full-screen editor; color-coded labels, flags, audio recording and support for blogging systems.
Features in SOHO Notes that aren’t available in StickyBrain include the ability to synchronize notes between multiple computers using a .Mac account; the ability to access multiple note databases simultaneously; and multi-user capabilities.
Registered StickyBrain 4.x customers can upgrade to SOHO Notes 5.5 for free; users of older versions of StickyBrain can upgrade for $25.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.7 or later. SOHO Notes 5.5 is a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
Additionally, Chronos announced the release of
SOHO Organizer 5.5, an update to its personal and business productivity software. A free update for 5.x users, SOHO Organizer 5.5 costs $99.
SOHO Organizer lets you manage contact information, events, to dos and more. It lets you dial using a Bluetooth phone, synchronize using iSync, logs incoming and outgoing calls, assigns alarms to events and tasks, features tabbed calendar views, supports unlimited custom fields and much more.
The new release merges contact and calendar management into a single application. It also features a new Day view, Journal view, daily notes and a converter application to move files from the former Personal and Group Organizer produts to the new SOHO Organizer application.
