Vindico Technologies has announced a free deal for Mac developers interested in taking advantage of the company’s Deliver2Mac digital download delivery service.
Deliver2Mac provides a way for consumers to purchase and download commercial software for Mac OS X without having to worry about physical box delivery. It’s designed to be an alternative for commercial software publishers who don’t want to or can’t get their titles onto the shelves of Mac software retailers. Users can burn their downloads onto CD or DVD for backup.
To stimulate developer acceptance of the service, Deliver2Mac is offering a deal — you can have one product in your catalog hosted completely free for one calendar month. At the end of that month, Deliver2Mac’s standard terms apply.
Vindico started Deliver2Mac with products in the catalog of sister company Virtual Programming, a UK-based publisher of Macintosh game titles. The service has since expanded with games from other publishers and productivity software, including Mariner Software’s product line.
Developers interested in Deliver2Mac are encouraged to contact them by-email.
