Sugar Games has released its debut Macintosh game — a casual puzzler called Rainbow Web.
Rainbow Web is a unique variation on the tried-and-true “match three” action puzzle genre. Users must travel from location to location as they find spiders’ webs strung with colored beads. Some of the beads carry letters. Swapping the beads can help make matching lines of three or more beads, which then disappear and add to your score. If you can match the beads that contain letters, you’ll restore the spell-bound name of the place and you can advance to the next level.
Over time the puzzles get larger and more complex as some elements of the web disappear, which makes matching and swapping beads more difficult. Rainbow Web features 60 game levels all together, and can be played in timed and untimed play mode.
