iPlayMusic, which offers software to teach you how to play guitar, on Friday announced the launch of Play Music Together, a combination software application and video DVD designed to help toddlers and preschoolers make music with their parents. Play Music Together costs $39.95.
Play Music Together features interactive guitar and song lessons, and a dancing and singing puppet named Capo. Also included are GarageBand music projects, a printable coloring book and a bonus DVD. More than 35 video guitar and song lessons are included.
The guitar lessons employ multi-angle video-based instruction, and the lessons include scrolling chords and lyrics, closeups of the left and right hands and more. The lessons with Capo help kids gain an understanding of rhythm, tempo and pattern.
