Transparent Language on Tuesday announced the release of Learn Language Now v10, a new version of its Mac OS X and Windows-compatible language learning software. Available in fifteen different languages, each module costs $69.95.
Learn Language Now focuses on teaching users how to speak foreign languages by interacting with authentic dialogues, watching videos and hearing native speaker pronunciation. The software includes games and activities to test your skills.
Learn Language Now 10 adds “Before You Know It” (BYKI) flash card software, embedded in the immersion content to help you learn key vocabulary words before, during and after your study. The software also BYKI Pod Audio content, which enables users of iPods and other MP3 players to listen to key vocabulary lessons on the road, as well. Users can now create study lists using 15,000 words with native speaker sounds.
The software is available in 15 languages including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later with Safari, a G3 or better with 128 MB RAM, 165MB hard disk space, a CD-ROM drive and 800 x 600 resolution. A microphone and iPod are optional.
