LaCie has introduced the second generation of its 300 series LCD displays, designed for graphics professionals. The upgraded displays now feature 12-bit gamma correction, which provides smoother gradients, according to the company. Prices start at $879.
Corrected at the factory, 300 Series monitors ship with LaCie’s blue eye pro 4.0 calibration software. Designed to work in tandem with LaCie’s separately available blue eye pro colorimeter, the software performs hardware-based calibration of the display and produces an ICC profile.
The 300 series has a new entry, as well — the $1,399 LaCie 320 Monitor — a 1600 x 1200 resolution display with 280 cd/m2 luminance, contrast ratios of up to 700:1 and 178 degree viewing angle. It also ships with an anti-glare hood and includes a retractable hook for placement of a colorimeter during calibration.
The 300 series line also includes the 319, for $879 and the 321, for $1,599.
