WebAssist on Wednesday released SiteAssist 3.0, a new version of the company’s Dreamweaver extension that enables users to easily build Web sites.
SiteAssist is targeted to the non-technical user that need to build a Web site, but want more than the standard layouts that are typically included with HTML applications. The extension walks users step-by-step through the set-up and design process, and allows the user to make changes on the site by re-running the wizard.
Eric Ott, president of WebAssist, told Macworld that the design aspects of the extension were very important to the company. He said they hired professional designers to build sites that they would want to see. The result is great looking designs, according to Ott.
While SiteAssist does include table-based layouts, the extension offers a range of CSS layouts for those that need more modern sites. A full range of layouts, fonts, color and navigations are available and can be mixed and matched to create a unique design.
SiteAssist 3.0 is compatible with Dreamweaver 8 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 and costs $159.99 until August 15, 2006 — after that date it will cost $199.99.
