Scientists and researchers will be able to combine Wolfram Research’s Mathematic with the supercomputer-compatible Pooch clustering technology, thanks to the newly announced PoochMPI Toolkit from Dauger Research and Advanced Cluster Systems.
Inspired by the supercomputing-standard Message-Passing Interface (MPI), Dauger Research says the PoochMPI Toolkit creates a standardized way for Mathematica kernels to communicate with each other directly, rather than as a master-slave or server-client in that all the kernels can communicate with each other directly and collectively.
The PoochMPI Toolkit for Mathematica will be available for sale online in six weeks. Dauger Research will be demonstrating the technology on Thursday at 9 a.m. Pacific time at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference.
