Columbia Records and Apple will offer legendary musician Bob Dylan’s new album as an exclusive digital pre-order the companies announced this week. Customers that pre-order will also have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive Ticketmaster pre-sale for concert tickets to select dates on Bob Dylan’s upcoming fall tour.
The new album “Modern Times” is available for pre-order now and costs $13.99. Apple also made available a special Bob Dylan box set called “The Collection” that is being made available for $199 and can be downloaded beginning on August 29. The box set will have almost 800 tracks according to Apple.
“Bob Dylan is one of the most respected poets and musicians of our time, and he is a personal hero of mine,” said Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs. “Being able to offer his new album and the exclusive box set of his works on iTunes is a real thrill for us.”
“Modern Times” is set for release on August 29.
