Accessory maker Power Support has launched new products for Apple’s MacBook and MacBook Pro, including the Wrist Rug and Track Pad Film Set, which protect the laptop from scratches and blemishes caused by day to day use.
The Wrist Rug covers the palm rest area on your MacBook or MacBook Pro — this is the area that can be discolored or scratched up if you rest your palms on the laptop frequently while using it. The Track Pad Film similarly keeps your trackpad from getting contaminated by dirt, dust and finger oils. The sets will be offered in black, white and metallic at estimated street prices starting at $19.95.
Power Support claims its Antiglare Film, which is applied to the surface of MacBook or MacBook Pro LCD displays, reduces radiation emitted by the monitor by up to 70 percent and blocks inbound ultraviolet light. It also prevents dirt accumulation and scratches. It comes in black, white and aluminum frame colors and costs $30 to $40 depending on size.
Crystal Film is a screen protector that adds a glossy finish, with similar properties as the Antiglare Film . Also available in black, white or aluminum trim, it costs $30 to $40 depending on size.
