Ecamm Network has updated its Call Recorder software for Mac OS X to v1.0.4. Call Recorder lets Mac users record conversations they have using the Skype VoIP software. A free update for registered users, Call Recorder costs $12.95.
Once Call Recorder is installed, you can start and stop recording conversations using Skype, transforming them into QuickTime-compatible audio files. It’s handy for podcasters and others who need to record digital conversations.
New to this release is support for Uncompressed and 2:1 Compression encoding; a checkbox for voicemail message recording; Convert to AAC, Convert to AIFF and Split Movie Tracks; French and Spanish localization; better support for certain USB devices, compatibility with multi-channel audio devices and much more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later and Skype for Mac 1.4 or later. It’s a Universal binary.
