Apple has released version 7.2.2 of
Logic Pro and
Logic Express. The updates provide improved compatibility with the new Mac Pro and delivers increased performance, according to Apple.
Logic is Apple’s music creation and audio production software. It’s used by musicians and audio producers alike to create soundtracks and music, apply Digital Signal Processing (DSP) effects to audio tracks and more. Logic Pro is the full-blown professional product; Logic Express provides the same working environment, but with a more scaled-back feature set aimed at students and hobbyists.
The new release of Logic Pro and Logic Express delivers increased performance on the Mac Pro through full use of the Mac Pro’s Quad-Core architecture, according to Apple. It also offers optimized support for the built-in audio ports.
The update is recommended for all Mac Pro users; an existing Logic 7.2.1 installation is required.
