Indev on Monday announced the release of its
public beta of MailTags 2.0
for Mac OS X v10.4. MailTags is a plug-in for Apple’s Mail software that extends the e-mail client program with the ability to “tag” messages with metadata. It will be $29.95 when it’s released in full this fall.
With MailTags, you can tag keyword information, project data, priority info, due dates, to do items and notes to your mail messages.
The new release adds full compatibility with Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) mail servers. Metadata can be indexed by Spotlight for Smart Mailboxes. You can send tags with your messages. Tags can be displayed in your message list view. A new interface has been added, and other enhancements have been made as well.
