SuperDuper maker Shirt Pocket has announced the release of netTunes 2.3 and launchTunes 1.1, its iTunes utilities. NetTunes costs $19.95; launchTunes costs $7. Both are available as a “Tune Suite” bundle for $23.95.
NetTunes is a “remote control” for iTunes — it allows you to control iTunes running on one Macintosh from another on the local network, using iTunes’ native interface. LaunchTunes can automatically launch iTunes on remote systems when needed, helping you with playlist sharing between multiple computers without requiring you to physically walk around and launch the software.
Both applications have been updated as Universal binaries that run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. What’s more, the new versions feature enhanced performance, and a more “polished” user experience, according to Shirt Pocket founder David Nanian.
