Software maker SmileOnMyMac released an update to PDFpen, improving selection behavior for PDF images in the PDF editing and form-filling utility. At the same time, the company also added that feature to the latest version of PDFpenPro, which creates fillable forms.
Also new to the standard and professional editions of PDFpen are improvements to text location and selection and fixes to a problem the applications had interpreting Unicode character maps. PDFpen 2.4.2 and PDFpenPro 2.4.2 also now feature a single disk image for all languages.
PDFpen sells for $50 for one to four copies of the program; the pro version is available for $95. Version 2.4.2 is a free upgrade for existing users.
