Aspyr Media on Tuesday has announced the release of a free Universal binary patch for their action game Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
A Star Wars game licensed from LucasArts, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast follows the story of Kyle Katarn, a rebel Jedi with a dark past who must return from self-imposed exile in order to save the galaxy from certain doom. You can use Jedi powers, wield a light saber and other weapons, and explore breathtaking Star Wars locales such as Bespin Cloud City, the Jedi Academy and more.
The 1.03/1.04c update makes the game run natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs alike. The new release also uses Apple’s version of OpenAL, a sound library that enables games to produce position 3D audio effects.
