UK-based Miglia Technology has introduced the MicroSound, a portable speaker system designed for Apple’s iPod nano and iPod shuffle. It’s small enough to slip into a pocket, and works on a battery. MicroSound costs $29.99.
The MicroSound plugs into the headphone jack of the iPod and is available in black or white finishes. Powered by one AAA alkaline battery, the MicroSound lasts for up to 12 hours per battery.
The MicroSound has modest power output — 85 mw x 85 mw (RMS), but it measures a scant 2.36 inches x 0.79 inches x 1.18 inches.
