Rage Software’s Google Sitemap Automator has been updated to version 1.3. The utility helps Web site makers create a sitemap used by Google and other search engines where to go to find out information about the site. The new release is a free udpate for registered users, and costs $29.95 to register.
Google Sitemap Automator can automatically scan your Web site in a few minutes and publishes the sitemap accordingly. The sitemaps not only tell Google where to go, but how often to check your site for updates. The net result can be a higher-profile presence on Google and other search engines, helping to draw more traffic to your site.
Google Sitemap Automator’s filtering options let you create filters to automate the process of creating the sitemap. With version 1.3, you can apply filters after the scanning is complete. Previously, you would have to rescan the entire site if you’d modified the filters.
