Stairways Software has released Interarchy 8.2, an update to their file transfer software for Mac OS X. The new release is a free update for registered 8.x users, and costs $59.95 to register.
Interarchy supports File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) methods, and works with HTTP, WebDAV (including iDisk) and more. It’s a Universal binary that works natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
New to version 8.2 is support for Growl, a notification system that passes along alerts from other applications without making you switch from your current application. File converters have been added that transparently encode and decode files when transferring them.
An “Add Bookmark” button has been added to each window’s status bar. The “Mirror Reports” window now remembers reports even when closed. Compatibility has been added for Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” (due next spring). Other changes have also been made — a complete list of updates in this release is available from the Web site.
Interarchy requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
