CS Odessa on Thursday announced the release of ConceptDraw 6.1, its diagramming software for Mac OS X and Windows. New to this release are new business-related shape libraries and other changes. A free update for 6.x users, ConceptDraw costs $149 for its Standard version and $299 for its Professional version.
With ConceptDraw, users can create diagrams and flowcharts detailing everything from network topologies to Web site maps, software and database layouts, company org charts, workflows and more. The software supports import and export of XML for MS Visio, SVG-based imagery, alpha-channel transparency and other features.
New to this release, CS Odessa has updated ConceptDraw Basic, the software’s internal scripting language, with new functions for Shape, Paint and Page objects, the addition of complex behavior to “intelligent” shapes, automation of repeating actions and more. Soft shadows have been added, along with five new libraries for business floor planning, including Cubicles, Pipes & Plumbing, Office Equipment, Shipping & Receiving and Recreation.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later, G3 or better, 128MB RAM, 200MB hard drive. A free trial version is available for download.
