Aspyr Media on Monday announced the release of a Universal binary patch for RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, that lets the game run natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs alike. The new version, 1.2 Rev A, is available for download immediately.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 puts you in charge of building a theme park, where you populate the park with plenty of rides and other amusements for park visitors. Once you’ve got it laid out the way you want, you can switch to a patrons-eye view for a close up of what it’s like to ride your rides. And more than just plopping down rides in specific locations within your park, you can design your own coasters and test them out as well! All you’re limited by is your imagination — and your budget, of course.
The new 1.2 A patch also fixes a crash when communicating with iTunes to retrieve the “RCT3” playlist (you can create your own iTunes playlists to play during your lightshows); and Cmd-Tab and Cmd-H can be used in fullscreen mode to switch in and out of the game.
