Are you ready for some football? Along with unveiling a new version of iTunes, Apple announced on Tuesday that the NFL Network has added downloadable programming to the iTunes Store.
The National Football League’s TV network will offer 2006 regular season highlights from each NFL game the day after it’s played. Fans will be able to download single-game highlights for $1.99; they can also buy a “Follow Your Team” Season Pass for $24.99 that features game clips from their favorite team delivered automatically throughout the NFL season.
Football fans will also be able to download NFL Network’s NFL GameDay, hosted by Rich Eisen with Steve Mariucci and Deion Sanders. The show features highlights from every NFL game plus post-game reaction and analysis for $1.99 per show or $19.99 for a full season.
Most games will be available beginning the following Monday, with the exception of Monday Night Football games, which will be available the following Tuesday. All NFL game downloads from the just-completed first week of the season will become available at iTunes on September 18.
