Praeter Software has announced the release of Physics 101 SE version 6.0, a new version of their academic tool for physics. It’s been recompiled as a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs alike, and costs $9.95.
Physics 101 SE is for students and physics teachers. It can solve for almost any variable in more than 150 commonly used physics formulae, with vector computation, projectile motion simulator, circuit analysis, oscillation calculation, motion analysis, Free Body Diagram (FBD) simulation and much more.
Besides Universal binary support, improvements in this release include an interactive optics, superposition and abbreviation features, and a “rethemed” interface inspired by Mac OS X Leopard.
System requirements call for Mac OS X and a 1024 x 768 display. A free demo is available.
