For the businessman who has everything: Bagir has introduced a tailored suit that features built-in iPod controls, using Eleksen’s ElekTex “smart fabric.” The suit will cost $280 and will be available at retailers including Lands End, Brooks Brothers and Marks & Spencer at the end of November, 2006.
The five-button iPod controls allow users to adjust volume, track, play and pause, and are built into the suit’s lapel. Inside is a dock connector for attaching to an iPod.
Eleksen’s ElekTex fabric-based iPod controls have previously been integrated into jackets and sportswear, but this is the first time they’ve been put into a suit.
The suit is machine-washable and wrinkle-resistant, and can also be dry-cleaned. Bagir plans to manufacture the suit in five different styles.
Bagir’s Web site was not working properly as Playlist posted this article, but a thumbnail image of the suit is available from Eleksen’s Web site.
