SRS Labs, makers of surround sound and other audio technologies, announced Thursday the release of SRS iWOW, a plug-in designed specifically for iTunes on the Mac. Available as a free trial download, iWOW costs $19.99.
iWOW provides “immersive, three-dimensional audio” in iTunes with center control. The plug-in offers cleaner sound, deeper base, and the ability for users to use a “virtual ‘zoom’ lens’” to position audio, according to the developer.
In addition to center control, you can apply 3D stereo enhancements to mono or stereo content, SRS “TruBass” effects, and what SRS calls “Definition,” which emphasizes high frequency details.
System requirements call for iTunes 6 or later and Mac OS X v10.2 or higher.
