Ambrosia Software has released Redline, a home-grown auto racing game for Mac OS X. It costs $25; a downloadable demo is available.
Redline provides three different styles of racing challenge — the realistic Simulation mode, a more action-oriented Arcade mode, and the amped-up Turbo Racing mode. What’s more, the game features network play for up to 12 people over a local area network or the Internet.
Redline features tracks like dirt road rally courses, racing circuits, mountainous roads and models almost two dozen different cars. The game has a dozen racing challenges like acceleration and slalom, time trials and more.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later; Redline is a Universal binary that runs natively on Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.
