FormRouter, a hosted service for electronic forms, announced Tuesday support for non-Windows environments, including Mac OS X, Solaris, Linux and Unix. The service enables subscribers to deploy forms using PDF, HTML, Flash and other formats without needing their own servers and without doing any programming.
The new platform-agnostic service leverages the Mono Project, an open source development initiative sponsored by Novell to help run Microsoft .NET client and server applications on other platforms.
Once your form is submitted, completed forms, attachments and data are routed to an electronic data store on the user’s desktop. The FormRouter Client Tool provides secure download of form-collected data in text or database formats.
